Roles and Responsibilities:
As a data analyst, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into “high-level” design solutions, including mapping documents and SQLParticipate in regular standups and prioritisation sessions.Create test cases and prototypes; perform tests in development, testing, and production.Analyse and validate data from sources
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Knowledge of mainframe concepts would be a plus.
- Hands-on experience in mainframe hardware: CECs, engines, MIPS, memory, LPARs, features, orders
- Experience in mainframe software: licenses, value metrics, aggregation, MSUs, value units
- Expertise in mainframe revenue: hardware, software, brands/divisions, majors/minors, unbundling
- Familiarity with advanced concepts is a plus. leasing, maintenance, storage, royalties, sub-capacity, on-demand offerings
- Required experience with DB2 or another relational database system
- Required experience with data warehouse
- Required expert-level SQL skills
- Knowledge of relational database theory and database design
- Experience synthesising business requirements into technical designs
- Familiarity with the DevOps approach to software dev/test/deploy/maintain
- Familiarity with the Agile approach to software development
- Experience working in a mainframe development environment is a plus.
